Run Merrickville sincerely appreciates the Village of Merrickville-Wolford’s continued support of the annual Merrickville Heritage Classic race. It is with great pleasure that Run Merrickville can contribute $1000 to the Merrickville Fire Department towards the purchase of a rehab tent that will be used for the fire games hosted here in Merrickville by the Fire Department in June. It will then be used at calls to protect the firefighters when they are cooling down or warming up. In addition, it can be set up as a medical tent for events such as the Merrickville Heritage Classic.

Run Merrickville is also pleased to contribute 18 construction-style road barricades, valued at over $1,000, to the Village of Merrickville-Wolford. Ensuring a safe and successful Merrickville Heritage Classic race each April requires careful traffic management, and these additional barricades will greatly support that effort.
In previous years, we have encountered a limited supply of barricades available for use. In collaboration with the Public Works department, we sourced materials, constructed these barricades, and entrusted them to the village for painting and proper markings. We hope that not only will our annual event benefit from this contribution, but that other community events will also find them useful for ensuring safety and organization.
